Look closely at the so-called apocalyptic video. Fact: Weather stations in Apalachicola, Panama City and Panama City Beach recorded winds no higher than 62 knots at any time, nor the record low pressure in the eye that has been claimed. This was not nearly a Category 4 Hurricane at landfall. It was either barely a Category 1 or it was a Tropical Storm. The intensity has been severely exaggerated. There’s a story here–complete exaggeration of the power of the storm. If you look at the drone footage, it’s clearly shown that the destruction was suffered by shoddily constructed and old buildings. Modern buildings (several condo complexes for example) in Mexico Beach are completely unscathed.
