The Anti-Media Newsletter Finally Sees the Light of Day

(ANTIMEDIA) There’s a new stepping stone for us at Anti-Media. The dropping of the “the” isn’t the main one, but while we’re at it, let me explain that one. Our Editor-In-Chief, Nick B, put in a request to address this humble news outlet as Anti-Media. I understand we have loyal followers that date back to day one and for them, it may be difficult to accept this change and drop a single word. For you, our loyal reader, we’ll always and forever be “The Anti-Media.” In reality, we haven’t even bothered taking it off our logo and website address, so it’s not like we’re making a big deal out of that one. This time, we decided to render attention to another minuscule thing: our first newsletter. The first issue was sent out Friday, February 13th, 2015 shortly before 1:30 PST from America’s Finest City, Sunny San Diego.

The Anti-Media Newsletter was first introduced as a daily one on the signup forms all over our website and Facebook page. The big problem with that, was that we weren’t keeping our word: we sincerely apologize for that. As many of you will surely understand, it’s a lot easier to commit than to it is to execute. Setting up a newsletter is actually a bit of a process: we had to gather all emails to one place, figure out the software we were to use, and set up a PO Box since, by law, we’re required to include a shipping address in all of our emails. (While we’re at it, for those of you who’d like to send us letters or whatever else gets sent via snail mail these days, our mailing address is PO BOX 2033, Chula Vista, CA 91912.)

After doing all that, we had a challenge to face. We know how many emails can bombard your inbox, so how do we stand out? What will have you reading our emails? We believe the best part of the challenge will be figuring that out.  Our first newsletter included a couple of our top memes and top stories of the past week. Of course, we threw in our social media links, including access to our radio show that airs daily at 11 pm EST/8 pm PST. We figured we start with that, but we know we’ll have to modify our content to better suit you.

For now, we’ll be sending out weekly newsletters. Once we get the ball rolling, we’ll increase our frequency to what was first promised after letting our readers know. Please, be sure to leave comments, questions, and suggestions in the comment section below or on our newsletter page on the site. We’ll do our very best to address what you have to say. Maybe, we’ll include some of the comments in next week’s newsletter. So please tell us, what would you like to see in our weekly newsletter?

Whether Anti-Media’s first published newsletter is headlining news or not, here at the headquarters, we’re proud to see how Anti-Media has developed from a single Facebook post to the news outlet we are today. As mentioned at the beginning, we are only reaching a stepping stone; there’s plenty of work ahead for our team. We’re anxious to keep rolling out our big plans, but we’re also patient enough to know that it takes time. Thank you all who choose to go against the norm and follow independent news. Please stay with us as we continue this transition to a real alternate source to the lies of the corporate media. After all, we are THE Anti-Media.
