On Friday April 4th “The Worldwide #WaveOfAction” began in cities around the world. The Wave is being touted as a “ReOccupying” or an “American Spring” that will run from the date of Martin Luther King Jr’s assassination to Independence Day 2014. Image credit:

The de-centralized movement is calling on concerned citizens to begin “protesting corruption, rallying around solutions and taking part in alternative systems.”  According to the official website for the movement, “The #WaveOfAction gives all of us who want change a powerful opportunity to #EvolveSociety.” In New York City Occupy Wall Street activists and members of the organization Veterans for Peace rallied together, calling for action on a variety of issues including money in politics, the federal reserve, the 1%, social injustice, and inequality.
