Deric Lostutter, is a 26 year old corporate cyber security consultant, who could face up to 10 years if convicted of hacking charges. Deric, was one of the Anonymous Hacktivists who exposed the Steubenville Rape of a drunk, unresponsive 16 year old girl.

The FBI ransacked Lostutters home when they appeared with a search warrant, took his computer and X Box, and then place him under arrest. Lostutter later admitted to being behind the Guy Fawkes mask in the video he posted on the “Red Roll” Football website. – The website, claims to be “the most famous high school website in the world”, which is now probably true after this case gained world wide attention.

Lostutter, also released a cell phone video of the attack, and threatened to release the personal information of the suspects. Although he did not, the video still wet viral.

“Yeah,” said Lotstutter, who quickly revealed the man behind the “Anonymous” mask. “And it should’ve. All these kids stood around filming it, laughing, watching it and mocking it and none of them stood up…they’re all pieces of crap human beings. It was kind of appalling to me and to the nation, if not the world.”

“It was everything that I’d ever preached, and now there’s this group of people getting off the couch and doing something about it. I wanted to be part of the movement,” he said.

The rape investigation revealed a cover-up on the part of the school’s principal, Steubenville school superintendent, former football coach and other adults. Charges have just been dropped against Lynnett Gorman, an elementary school principal charged with failing to report child abuse, but the cases remain unresolved for the others. As for the two charges with the rape, Ma’lik Richmond has already been released from juvenile detention after serving 6 months out of his one year sentence. He will also be registered as a sex offender for the next 20 years. Trent Mays, the other convict faces another year in jail on additional charges.

The Steubenville Rape Case is now one of the most famous cases in history, and with the help of the hero Deric Lostutter, the case was able to be solved due to his hacking. However, Deric is still being charged for hacking, and could face up to 5 times the amount of jail time than the actual rapists.
