(TheAntiMedia) Dr. Craig Spencer has been rushed to Bellevue Hospital in New York City today after exhibiting symptoms of Ebola.
The 33 year old physician recently returned to New York from the West-African nation of Guinea where he was treating patients with the dreaded virus.
Spencer, who had been working with Doctors Without Borders, quarantined himself in his fifth floor Manhattan apartment after he developed a high fever and nausea. The apartment was sealed off by FDNY hazardous material specialists around noon today and the doctor was subsequently extracted from the building in full protective gear.
City officials are actively retracing Spencer’s steps since he returned to the United States days ago in order to establish if any of his contacts could also possibly be infected.
Preliminary test results are expected later on Thursday evening.
#UPDATE (October 23rd 9:15 EST.): Dr. Craig Spencer has tested positive for Ebola.
