(ANTIMEDIA) Fullerton, CA — Earlier this month, the Anti-Media published an article about Manuel Ramos — the former Fullerton police officer who was acquitted in the murder case of Kelly Thomas — after he was arrested for domestic violence. However, as we just learned, Ramos will once again evade charges for his crimes.

Ramos was picked up by his former-fellow officers on July 16th after police were called to look into a case of domestic violence. Further details of the case have not been released.

Shortly after his arrest, Ramos was released on $10,000 bail. Now, as documented by the OC Weekly, Susan Kang Schroeder, chief of staff for the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, said her office could not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Manuel Ramos, 41, committed misdemeanor domestic violence.”

The only hope left for bringing Ramos to justice rests in the FBI investigation of Kelly Thomas’ murder, and Ron Thomas’— Kelly’s father— personal case against the city of Fullerton, which is set to begin August 24th.

Although most cases brought against corrupt cops leave most of us thinking that justice will be served only “when pigs can fly,” I’m keeping my fingers crossed for Kelly Thomas, his family, and the woman who claims Ramos beat her.
