In North New Jersey, Bloomfield, a police officer shot himself instead of an ‘attacking canine’ he was trying to kill with the firearm he apparently did not know how to use. Thumbnail credit: gothamist.com
This is hilarious beyond words to those who keep up with these incidents, because this exact same thing happened recently in Riverside County, California.
Predictably, the officer was apparently too embarrassed to allow anyone to release his name, so we don’t know who he is exactly.
Essex County’s Prosecutors office released bare minimum details, also predictably, and the officer is pretty much safe.
Look for a limping officer with a dog-killing kind of look in his eyes roaming around the streets of Bloomfield if you will.
Please share this with as many people as possible. Maybe it will give them a good laugh.

…We have a small favor to ask. Fewer and fewer people are seeing Anti-Media articles as social media sites crack down on us, and advertising revenues across the board are quickly declining. However, unlike many news organizations, we haven’t put up a paywall because we value open and accessible journalism over profit — but at this point, we’re barely even breaking even. Hopefully, you can see why we need to ask for your help. Anti-Media’s independent journalism and analysis takes substantial time, resources, and effort to produce, but we do it because we believe in our message and hope you do, too.
